Ditching the Merch: Supporting Important Causes

Written by Sunrise Marketing | Apr 10, 2024 1:02:17 PM

This year at SITS, we wanted to take the opportunity to raise awareness of some incredible charities. That's why we've made the decision to ditch the merch. Instead of handing out the typical goodies, we're empowering our visitors to make a difference. At Stand 540, you won't find pens or notepads; instead, you'll have the opportunity to support some valuable causes. Although, you will find some delicious cupcakes to celebrate Sunrise's 30th birthday!

Our team at Sunrise, along with our valued customers and LinkedIn community, have nominated charities close to their hearts and we have carefully selected three of these charities. Now, it's your turn to play a part. By visiting our stand, you can cast your vote for the charity that resonates with you most. At the end of the event, Sunrise will make a donation to each charity.

So, lets find out more about each of our chosen charities...

Marie Curie

We are incredibly proud to be supporting Marie Curie, a UK charity that offers amazing support, care and empathy to people living with terminal illness and their families. They provide expert nursing care at home or in their hospices, as well as emotional support and practical assistance. Marie Curie conducts research to improve end-of-life care and advocates for better palliative care services.

RSPCA

A valued charity to all animal-lovers, the RSPCA does amazing work in preventing animal cruelty, promoting animal welfare, and enforcing animal protection laws. They provide rescue and rehabilitation for animals in need, campaign for legislative change to improve animal welfare, and offer educational programs to raise awareness about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare issues.

The Arthrogryposis Group (TAG)

This charity is one with limited recognition, but one that it incredibly important. TAG is a charity focused on assisting individuals with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. AMC refers to over 300 conditions which cause curved joints at birth, affecting mobility and flexibility. Despite its limited recognition, TAG strives to raise awareness and offer support to those affected.

Thank you to everyone that nominated their charity - it was certainly a difficult decision to choose just three incredible charities. We are looking forward to seeing you at SITS!
