CHESSINGTON – February 26, 2009 – Sunrise Software, an independent provider of IT Service Management solutions, today announced that it has been shortlisted as a finalist in the highly acclaimed Computer Weekly Best Places to Work in IT Awards. The selection process for the awards, which this year received more entries than ever, uses the most powerful measure of employer success – employee feedback.
All shortlisted companies have demonstrated a commitment to provide stimulating, enjoyable and productive workplaces for their IT professionals, through a variety of innovative approaches. In Computer Weekly’s search for the best-managed IT departments, it has shortlisted entrants that have been able to demonstrate that staff are truly valued and that the workplace is a nurturing and supportive environment.
Sunrise Software was selected for the shortlist based on information submitted to the independent judging panel, highlighting outstanding work in areas including recruitment, training, motivating, rewarding and retaining staff. In addition, Sunrise staff members were asked to complete anonymous questionnaires, from which an independent research firm will collate the results for each finalist, and produce a tailor-made individual benchmark report.
Commenting on the achievement, Tom Weston, executive chairman of Sunrise Software said: “It is a real honour for Sunrise to be recognised by making the shortlist for this highly respected award. Not only is it a credit to all the areas of the business that have contributed to the envious environment in which our teams operate, but it also acts as a huge boost to the morale of the team as they experience a rise in profile, both internally and externally.”
The final winners will remain a closely guarded secret until they are revealed at a glamorous award ceremony on 22nd May 2009 at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, Hyde Park, London.
